New Delhi: The Odisha Government’s innovative health coverage scheme Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY) has bagged the SKOCH Order of Merit here today.
The universal health coverage scheme, which Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launched in August last year, received the prestigious award under Swasthya Bharat category.
Dr Pramod Ku Meherda, Secretary Health and Family Welfare Department and Shalini Pandit, CEO, State Health Assurance Agency, received the award at the Skoch awards function held in New Delhi today.
BSKY was also conferred with the SKOCH Swasthya Bharat Gold Award.
BSKY covers around 70 lakhs families. Under the scheme, cashless healthcare assistance is being provided to the beneficiaries.
Annual health coverage of Rs 5 lakhs per family and 7 lakhs per women members of the family are provided under the scheme.
