Bhubaneswar: While fuel price hike is hitting hard all segments of people, an Odia groom has come up with a unique way to demonstrate his protest against the soaring prices of fuel.
As per reports, the groom from Bhubaneswar reached his wedding venue by riding a bicycle, instead of in a car.
Subhranshu Samal, a resident of Unit-3 area in the capital city, cycled to the wedding venue, while the groom’s party walked to the place.
Samal took the decision as a unique way of protest against the rise in fuel prices and spread awareness regarding environmental pollution, according to reports.
Petrol and diesel prices were hiked 14 times between March 22 to April 6. Currently, the petrol rate in Bhubaneswar is recorded at Rs 112.68 per litre and diesel Rs 102.35 a litre.
