Bhubaneswar: Odisha Health and Family Welfare Department has constituted the Medical Board of MKCG, Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur.
The Medical Board has six members, such as Superintendent of MKCG (Convenor) ; Professor and Head of the Department Obstetrics & Gynecology, MKCG MCH; Professor and Head of the Department, Pediatrics, MKCG MCH; Professor and Head of the Department, Radiology, MKCG MCH; Professor and Head of Department, Anaesthesiology, MKCG MCH and Professor and Head of Department, Medicine, MKCG MCH.
The Board will function within the campus of MKCG Medical College and Hospital , Berhampur, the Health Department said.
“Pursuant to the provision of Section-3 (2C) of the Medical Termination of Pregnancy (Amendment) Act, 2021 issued by the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India in the Gazette of India on 25.03.2021, every State Government or Union territory, as the case may be, shall, by notification in the Official Gazette, constitute a Board to be called a Medical Board for the purposes of this Act to exercise such powers and functions as may be prescribed by rules made under this Act. Accordingly, in supersession of all previous notifications and orders so far it relates to the subject in this regard, the State Government have been pleased to constitute a Medical Board consisting of the following members in respect of the MKCG, Medical College and Hospital, Berhampur”, a notification issued by the Department reads.
