Bhubaneswar: The Odisha police has seized a huge quantity of ganja in Gajapati district and arrested three peddlers in this connection on Monday.
As per reports, illegal cannabis weighing over 12 quintals having estimated market value of Rs 1.30 crore was seized from Dengma village under Mohana police limits in Gajapati.
The arrested peddlers have been identified as Pradeep Majhi (36), Ashok Rana (36), of Balisahi village under R.Udayagiri police limits, and Ashok Majhi (22) of Jurapeta village.
Police patrolling was underway Dengma-Kalameri road near Dengma village under Mohana police limits when a van travelling from the R.Udayagiri area to Berhampur was intercepted, according to reports.
The police recovered illegal cannabis after the search.
