Bhubaneswar: Odisha Director General of Police Sunil Kumar Bansal on Saturday suspended Snigdharani Suna, Inspector of Police, Sundargarh, on charges misconduct.
“Pending drawal of departmental proceeding, Snigdharani Suna, Inspector of Police, Sundargarh district, is placed under suspension with immediate effect for her gross misconduct,” an office order issued by the DGP reads.
The order stated that Suna will remain under the disciplinary control of Superintendent of Police, Sundargarh during the period of suspension. She will draw the SA and DA as admission under the service code, it added.
Suna is the owner of the vehicle which rammed into an auto-rickshaw in Subarnapur district killing three persons and injuring six others on July 12.
The accident occurred near Badabahali Chhak around 6.30 a.m. when the speeding car of the police inspector hit the auto-rickshaw, stationed on the road as its driver was conversing with the bike rider.
