Odisha: Pandemonium Continues to Prevail on Third Day of Assembly Session

Bhubaneswar: Pandemonium continued to prevail on the third day of the budget session in the Odisha Assembly.

As the House assembled for the day, the opposition BJD and Congress MLAs raised slogans at the beginning of the Question Hour and went to the Well of the House.

The BJD MLAs protested the police inaction in the alleged assault on an Assistant Section Officer (ASO) by the son of Governor Raghubar Das. They also highlighted the neglect to Odisha in the Union Budget. The Congress legislators also expressed their concerns over the issue.

The Speaker Surama Padhy adjourned the House till 11.30 am due to the uproar. She called for an all-party meeting to resolve the impasse. However, it could not provide fruitful result. then, the House was adjourned till 4 pm.
