Bhubaneswar: Odisha has received an eight per cent surplus rainfall from June 1 to June 21, 2021.
According to the Metrological Centre, Bhubaneswar, the State has recorded 136.3 mm rainfall, which is 8% more than the normal rainfall of 126.6 mm from June 1 to till date.
Seven districts, such as Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Nayagarh, Jajpur, Bhadrak and Keonjhar, have recorded deficit rainfall of 20 to 59% during the same period. Three districts – Sundargarh, Jharsuguda and Koraput received surplus rainfall of 60% and above.
Eight districts – Cuttack, Puri, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Subarnapur, Nuapada and Malkangiri- have received surplus rainfall of between 20 to 59 per cent. Twelve districts received normal rainfall, the Metrological Centre said.
