Bhubaneswar: Odisha has achieved a 41 per cent growth in GST collection during the month of August 2021 as compared the same period in the previous year, showing that the State’s economy is on the path of revival despite COVID-19 pandemic.
The total GST collection for the month of August was Rs 3,317 crore against Rs 2,348 crore in August 2020, according to the data released by the Union Ministry of Finance on Wednesday.
Odisha had recorded a growth of 54 per cent in GST collection in July, 2021, in comparison to the corresponding month last year.
The State records a GST collection of Rs 3,615 crore in July this year as against Rs 2,348 crore collected during July 2020.
