Bhubaneswar: Odisha has registered 77.23% voter turnout in the first phase of panchayat polls held on Wednesday informed the State Election Commission (SEC) today.
Boudh district has reported the highest voter turnout at 84.7%, followed by Deogarh (83.75%), and Angul (82.6%).
The election was held at 22,379 booths for 1,669 Panchayats in 71 Blocks of the State.
Meanwhile, the poll for 13 ward members, 6 Sarpanches, three Panchayat Samiti Members and one ZP member was countermanded due to death of contesting candidates.
