Odisha: Remuneration of Multilingual Education Volunteers Increased

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has increased the remuneration of Multilingual Education Volunteers who have been deployed by the School and Mass Education Department to attract tribal children towards education in the tribal-dominated districts of the state.

The remuneration has been enhanced from Rs.5, 379 to Rs 10,000.

During the visit of 5T Chairman Kartik Pandian to the district, the Multilingual Education Volunteers drew the attention of the Chairman regarding their problems.

Now sympathetically considering their demands, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has increased the remuneration of Multilingual Education Volunteers from Rs.5379 to Rs.10,000 besides regularizing multilingual teachers in the ST & SC Development, Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare Department on the basis of merit.
