New Delhi: Odisha Rajya Sabha MP Ashwini Vaishnav took oath as Cabinet Minister this evening.
The Rajya Sabha MP has been administered the oath of office and secrecy by President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
This is the first major reshuffling of the Council of Ministers since Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed charge for a second term in May 2019.
As many as 12 Union ministers, including Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar resigned from the Cabinet on Wednesday ahead of a reshuffle.
