Bhubaneswar: Sambalpur has become the hottest place in Odisha recording the highest day temperature on Monday.
As per the Bhubaneswar Metrological Centre, the maximum day temperature hit 46.1 degree Celsius
More than 31 places across Odisha have recorded the maximum temperature of 40 degree Celsius or above.
The IMD has predicted hot weather and heat wave conditions are likely to prevail in some districts of Odisha during the next five days.
The maximum temperature is very likely to be above normal by 4-6°Celsius at a few places over the districts during the next five days, the IMD stated.
