Odisha Seeks COVID-19 Vaccines from Centre

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has asked the Centre to provide 50,000 doses of CorBEvax COVID vaccine for administering precaution dose to the people.

The Director of Family Welfare (Odisha) Bijay Panigrahi wrote to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare demanding CorBEvax vaccine for the State.

“Presently there is a rise in Covid cases in Odisha. Also there is a demand from public for precaution dose vaccination at Government CVCs,” Panigrahi wrote in the letter.

Panigrahi has requested the Centre to provide at least 50,000 doses of CorBEvax vaccine with long expiry to the state as early as possible.

Odisha has registered 141 new Covid-19 infections in the last 24 hours taking the total number of active cases in the state to 731.
