Nuapada: The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch has seized around 6 kg of illegal pangolin scales near Nuapada – Padampur road in Nuapada district and arrested a wildlife criminal in this connection.
The accused has been identified as Bikram Majhi of Gujuribhatt, Nuapada district.
Acting on a tip-off, STF, with the help of Khairar forest officials, conducted a raid at Sahipala near Nuapada- Padmapur road.
The STF seized the illegal pangolin scales from the possession of the wildlife criminal.
In its ongoing special drive against the wildlife criminals. the STF has seized 36 Kg 400 gram of pangolin scales so far, according to reports.
