Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday approved the Odisha Subordinate Fisheries Service (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Amendment Rules, 2023.
The proposed amendment of the Odisha Subordinate Fisheries Service (Recruitment and Conditions of Service) Rules, 2013 intends to exclude viva voce/ interview and to fix certain percentage i.e, 50% for Diploma in Agro Polytechnic in Fisheries Science, 25% for +2 Vocational (Fisheries) and 25% for +2 Science which will facilitate the enhancement of competitiveness in the process of recruitment of Junior Fisheries Technical Assistant, Group-.C conducted by Odisha Staff Selection Commission.
As a result better candidates will join the JFTA cadre which will bring efficiency in the implementation of various schemes of State Government, an official statement said.
