Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government has announced reopening of technical universities and institutions for students from September 6, 2021.
The decision was taken in view of the improvement in COVID-19 pandemic situation in the State.
Joint Secretary of the Skill Development & Technical Education Department Ajay Kumar Nayak wrote to the technical Universities, engineering and professional colleges, polytechnics & diploma institutions and ITIs, urging them to reopen the institutions adhering to a set of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
The physical classroom teaching for all students of PG/UG/Diploma/ITI programmes, except final year students who are already attending physical classes, may commence from 06.09.2021 after all precautionary measures such as complete sanitization and disinfection of classrooms, laboratories, hostels etc. are taken as per the COVID guideline, the letter reads.
