Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Government is likely to extend the deadline for fitment of High Security Number Plates in the state by one month. The Odisha Government today informed the Orissa High Court in this regard. The Court was today hearing petitions filed by some vehicle owners who had alleged that the Government has not made adequate arrangements for fixed the deadline. The government submitted in the court that it will extend the deadline for a month and steps will also be taken to include post offices and public welfare offices for slot booking. The Court scheduled the matter to hear again on October 23.
The deadline for the old vehicles registered prior to 1st April, 2019 carrying Odisha Registration Mark and Registration Number ending with 1, 2, 3 and 4 was ending today.
