Bhubaneswar: In a significant development, the Odisha Government has decided to increase the upper age limit for candidates applying for government jobs to 38 years.
The State Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved a major proposal in this regard on Monday.
The upper age limit for entry to state government service has been increased from 32 to 38 years. The age relaxation will be applicable to the recruitments being carried out in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Job seeks from SC/ST and SEBC categories can apply for State government jobs up to 43 years. Women candidates will also be able to apply for the jobs till 43 years.
The State Cabinet also approved 11 other proposals of departments of handloom, textiles and handicrafts; general administration and public grievances; higher education, panchyati raj and drinking water; and revenue and disaster management.
