Bhubaneswar: In an important development, the government of Odisha has decided to set up 45 Fast Track Courts in the state for swift disposal of cases of crime against women and children.
Of the 45 fast track courts, 21 will be exclusively dealing with crime against women. The other 24 fast track courts being set up under the POCSO Act will provide speedy justice to minors.
Speaking to media persons, Law Minister Pratap Jena has said that 14 judges posts are vacant in Odisha High Court and the government wants that they should be filled up early so that justice delivery will be speedy and people will get justice early.
