Bhubaneswar: In an important decision that will help a large number of students affected by the pandemic situation in the state, the Odisha government is mulling to pass all students from Class I to Class VIII without holding any examinations.
This comes at a time when the second wave of Corona virus is showing signs of resurgence.
Speaking on the issue, School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash said, “All students from Class I to VIII will be promoted to the next class without examination this year because of the COVID situation. As no offline class has been held since a year due to COVID pandemic, it is not possible to conduct examination in schools”.
Last year also the government had taken the decision to pass all the students of class ne to class nine without examinations in view of the Covid Pandemic.
