Bhubaneswar: Odisha will showcase its rich handicrafts, handlooms and vibrant Jagannath culture at the
India International Trade Fair (IITF)
2023 to be held from November 14 to 27 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi on the theme “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – United by Trade”.
The State Government has approved Odisha’s participation in the mega trade fair.
In this context, a preparatory meeting has been held at Lok Seva Bhavan under the chairmanship of Development Commissioner Anu Garg on Tuesday.
For ages, Odisha’s handicrafts, handlooms and various crafts have been fascinating for the people of different states of India and the world.
Odisha will showcase Jagannath culture, tribal jewellery and ornaments, cottage industry products, millet, ginger, turmeric, Koraput coffee, tourism, sports and industrialization to the world at its pavilion at the IITF.
Odisha will also participate in the food court of the trade fair and it has been decided in the meeting to offer the unique delicious food experience of Odisha to the people of the world.
As Odisha was awarded for the best performance in last year’s trade fair, Garg stressed on continuing this tradition this year as well.
In the meeting, Principal Secretary of Information & Public Relations Department Sanjay Kumar Singh gave necessary information regarding Odisha’s participation at the trade fair.
Principal Secretaries, Secretaries, Commissioners, Directors of Agriculture, Panchayati Raj, Tourism, Culture, Textiles, MSME, ST & SC, etc. departments and other senior officers of I& PR Department were present in the meeting.
