Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths have apprehended Jadumani Majhi, GRS, Machakata GP, Angul, while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 4000 from a Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana beneficiary for online geo tagging of his completed Pradhan Mantri Awas ( house) and recommendation of release of final house completion bill as well as to facilitate bonus in his favour for completion of house under MGNREG scheme within the stipulated time. The entire bribe money has been recovered from the accused and seized. Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Jadumani Majhi, GRS from disproportionate assets angle. In this connection, Cuttack Vigilance PS case no 31/2023 U/s-7PC Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress.
