Odisha Vigilance Apprehends Revenue Official While Accepting Bribe

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance sleuths have apprehended Balaram Kalari, Senior Revenue Assistant at the office of Tahasildar, Ambabhona, Bargarh, while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs.5,000 from a complainant. The bribe amount was meant for preparing report on partition of ancestral property and issuance of separate RoRs. In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance PS Case No.27/22 U/s 7 P.C. (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress.
