Bhubaneswar: The Odisha vigilance has arrested an Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI) in Puri district for allegedly taking bribe from a person for submitting a favorable report for cyclone damage relief.
Ranjan Kumar Mallick, ARI at Chupuringi RI Office under Kanasa Tahasil in Puri has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.10000 from a complaint for submitting a favourable report for cyclone damage relief.
In this connection, Bhubaneswar PS CASE NO. 18/2022 u/s 7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered and the investigation is in progress, the vigilance stated.
