Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Saturday arrested Nabarangpur Additional Sub-Collector Prasanta Kumar Rout in a DA case.
The Additional Sub-Collector was arrested a day after the Vigilance sleuths made a record cash seizure of more than Rs 3 crore from the possession of the official.
During the raids, the Vigilance has unearthed disproportionate assets worth Rs.5,21,09,659 which is 506% more than the known sources of income of Rout.
The assets include 1 multi storeyed building, cash over Rs.3.02 crores, deposits Rs.92.34 lakhs(including Rs. 38.64 lakhs in 2 benami accounts), the Vigilance informed.
