Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance department officials have arrested Prasanna Kumar Pani, JE, SSA, Pallahara, for possession of disproportionate assets. According to a release from the Odisha Vigilance, based on searches conducted on properties of Prasanna Kumar Pani, JE (Technical Consultant), Samagra Sikhya Abhiyan, office of BEO, Pallahara, Angul, he was found in possession of disproportionate assets including five buildings (three multi storeyed buildings and one flat in Bhubaneswar), 26 plots, deposits over 64.18 lakhs, gold jewellery weighing approx 832 grams, cash Rs.3.33 lakhs, etc., which he could not account for satisfactorily. He has been placed under arrest and will be produced before Hon’ble Court of Spl. Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar today.
