Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance on Friday nabbed an Assistant Revenue Inspector (ARI) in Nabarangpur district for allegedly taking bribe.
The ARI has been identified as Jagdish Behera, ) I/c RI,Sanamasigano RI Circle, Nabarangpur Tahasil.
Behera was apprehended by the vigilance sleuths while taking bribe Rs.5000 from a person for issuance of legal heir certificate in her favour.
In this connection, Koraput Vigilance PS case No.1/23 U/s 7 P.C (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered against the ARI.
The investigation is in progress into the matter.
