Odisha Vigilance Unearths Assets worth over Crores from Chief Civil Supplies Officer 

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Thursday unearthed assets worth over crores from Prashanta Kumar Gantayat, Chief Civil Supplies Officer, Bhubaneswar.

During the house searches of Gantayat, the Vigilance sleuths have unearthed two multi storeyed buildings in Bhubaneswar, two flats, five Plots, deposits over Rs.1.37 crore, gold over 500 gms, cash Rs.1.21 Lakh, 1 four wheeler so far.

The following assets have been unearthed in the name of Gantayat and his family members during house searches so far:

 

One triple-storeyed building under construction with an area of approx 4,800 sqft on Plot Nos. 1484 & 1485 at Pandara in Bhubaneswar estimated to Rs 83 lakh.

One double-storeyed building (VIM-192) at Chandrasekharpur in Bhubaneswar.

An apartment at Neelachal City on Canal Road, Badagada, Laxmi Sagar in Bhubaneswar.

Another apartment at village Bhabanipur, Berhampur-II of Neelachal Heights.

Five plots, of which three plots are in the prime area of Bhubaneswar.

The measurement and valuation/assessment of the above buildings/flats/plots are being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing.

Based on the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by Chief Civil Supplies Officer, simultaneous searches are being conducted by Odisha #Vigilance at 8 places in Bhubaneswar and Ganjam.

8 DSPs, 5 Inspectors and other staff are conducting search on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.
