Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Monday unearthed huge assets from the possession of Birabar Bhagat, IIC Gaisilet PS in Bargarh district during simultaneous house searches, which are being conducted due to the allegation of acquisition of disproportionate assets by the police official.
During the raids, the Vigilance sleuths unearthed assets in the name of Bhagat and his family members.
The assets include one double storeyed building over plinth area of 2,500 Sqft. at Ainthapali, Sambalpur; a farm house at Kabarapali, Sambalpur; lands in and around Sambalpur town and Bonei, Sundargarh; gold jewellery approx 165 gms; cash Rs.79,460; two four wheelers (Maruti Swift Dzire), 2 two wheelers.
The searches are still underway, the Vigilance stated.
