Bhubaneswar: During the searches in connection with the Disproportionate Assets of Prasanta Kumar Rout, Addl. Sub Collector, Nabarangpur, the Odisha Vigilance Department has found huge properties including cash of more than Rs 2 Crore from his possession. Simultaneous searches are being conducted by Odisha Vigilance Department sleuths at nine places.
The searches are being conducted at Bhubaneswar, Nabarangpur, and Bhadrak. Nine teams of Odisha Vigilance consisting of two Addl. SPs, seven DSPs, eight Inspectors and other staff are engaged in searches. The Vigilance Department officials are using cash counting machines to count the money.
Places of search:
(1) The double storied residential house of of S.O. located at HIG-115, Kanan Vihar, Bhubaneswar.
(2) The residential house of S.O. located at Nawarangpur, Dist- Nawarangpur.
(3) The office chamber of S. O. located at Nawarangpur, Dist-Nawarangpur.
(4) The parental house of S.O. located at Village-Bahudarada, PS-Bhadrak, Dist-Bhadrak.
This apart, searches are being conducted at 5 other locations of acquaintances of Sri Rout.
