Bhubaneswar: Odisha has won nine awards under Swachh Bharat Mission-Grameen 2.0 (SBM-G 2.0) in different categories.
The State has bagged two awards under the “Sujlam” campaign for water conservation efforts by creating household and community soak pits for capturing the wastewater.
Odisha also bagged two awards were under the Swachh Survekshan Grameen survey. The State emerged second best in the east zone and Jajpur district was ranked No. 1 among all districts in the zone under the Swachh Survekshan Grameen survey.
Odisha has also received five awards for creating awareness on ODF plus through wall paintings on various themes.
Odisha ranked fourth among major states in ODF Plus Status. 23.9% villages in the State have achieved ODF Plus status
Odisha’s continued thrust on ODF & Panchayati Raj Department’s relentless efforts for providing sanitation to households have helped it bag 9 Awards in Swachh Survekshan Gramin, stated Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
