Odisha’s 56th COVID Patient is from Jaipur Dist, Travel Link with Kolkata

Jajpur: Odisha’s 56th COVID-19 patient is reportedly identified as a 66-year-old resident of Sanatrilochanpur area in Jajpur district.

Meanwhile, the District Collector Ranjan Kumar Das has declared three villages including, Sanatrilochanpur and its nearby locality Sahipur-3 village as containment areas. The areas have been sealed for containment.

According to reports, the infected along with 17 others had come from Babughat area of Kolkata on March 28 and reached Odisha the next day. While 10 persons got down at Bhadrak, seven had disembarked at Panikoili.

The infected visited the District Headquarters Hospital at Jajpur Town as he developed pain in his abdomen. As he was symptomatic for coronavirus, his swab was sent for test, said the Collector.
