Odisha’s Mannata Mishra Shines at 37th National Games, Wins Bronze in Medley Relay Swimming Team Event

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Mannata Mishra has scripted history at the ongoing 37th National Games Goa 2023 by winning a bronze medal in medley relay swimming team event.

Mannata, a class XI student of Sai International School Bhubaneswar, was part of Odisha’s 4×100m Women’s Medley Relay Swimming Team that clinched bronze medal in the prestigious sporting event.

It is the second ever swimming medal for Odisha.

Mannata Mishra (Breaststroke) and three members of Odisha – Pratyasha Ray (Backstroke), Shristy Upadhaya (Butterfly) and Sonia Patel (Free style) won the bronze in 4×100m women’s medley relay swimming team event.

Earlier in the day, Mannata had just missed out an individual medal in 200 mts breaststroke for women and finished 4th.

Mannata’s achievement has not only brought laurels to her school but also made the entire State proud.

Odisha has emerged as a major sports hub in the country with massive infrastructure development under the 5T Initiatives of the State Government.
