OMC Contributes Rs 500 Crore to CMRF to Fight COVID-19

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Mining Corporation has donated Rs 500 crore to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support State government’s efforts in tackling COVID-19 situation.

The state-run PSU also declared Rs 250 crore as interim dividend for FY 2019-20.

Earlier, in February this year OMC had contributed Rs 100 crores to CMRF in February 2020.

The Odisha Small Industries Corporation (OSIC) had also announced to contribute Rs 3 lakh to the CMRF.

Notably, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday placed his MLA-LAD Fund at the disposal of Ganjam Collector to fight against deadly COVID-19.

The MLA-LAD Fund for the year 2019-20 is to be used for creation of health infrastructure and other related activities in fight against Coronavirus in Patnaik’s assembly constituency, Hinjili in Ganjam district.
