Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today saluted to all martyrs, veterans and the men in blue for their dedication, courage and sacrifices in safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of the nation.

The nation is celebrating the India Air Force Day today. The day is observed to mark the establishment anniversary of the Indian Air Force (IAF). Today is the 88th anniversary of the Indian Air Force, also known as Bharatiya Vayu Sena, which was established on October 8, 1932.
Since its inception, the IAF has expanded itself with numerous accomplishments including four battles with Pakistan and China, its role in World War II and the execution of the United Nation’s peacekeeping mission. The Indian Air Force’s complement of personnel and aircraft assets ranks fourth amongst the air forces of the world.
