Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, on the occasion of Teachers’ Day, handed over appointment letters to 443 teachers of Odisha Adarsh Vidyalayas (OAVs).
Welcoming the newly recruited teachers, the Chief Minister said that his Government is committed to provide quality education to the meritorious students from across the State. To this end, the Government is imparting teaching in English medium at secondary and higher secondary level to the students at OAVs. The students from rural and semi-urban areas are immensely benefiting, he said.
The Chief Minister further said that he wants the OAV to become role model in the country in terms of quality education with tremendous success.
On the occasion, the CM has set a 10-point target before the OAVs for the all-round development of the students. It includes encouraging the students to participate in blood donation drive, environment protection and literacy drive etc.
The CM also urged each OAV to prepare a 10-year vision document.
