One More Cheating Case Filed against Tainted IFS Officer Abhay Kant Pathak, Son

Bhubaneswar: A travel agency here today filed a complaint against tainted IFS officer Abhay Kant Pathak and his son Akash Kumar Pathak, alleging the duo of cheating it lakhs of rupees.

As per reports, Sky King Travel Agency moved the Commissionerate Police alleging that the father- son duo have cheated the agency of Rs 65 lakh.

The police filed a case under various Sections of IPC against the arrested IFS officer and his son based on the compliant registered by the travel agency.

Pravas Kumar Choudhury, owner of Sky King Travel Agency alleged that Akash Pathak introduced himself as the managing director of Tata Motors Limited and booked chartered flights and luxury hotel by sending e-mails and other fake documents.

Akash had booked flights and hotels worth Rs 2.78 crore since June 2020. He still owes Rs 65 lakh and declined to clear the dues. A case has been registered in this regard, according to reports.

Meanwhile, the anti-corruption officials have traced Rs 14.77 crore stashed in several bank accounts of Akash.
