Orissa High Court Dedicates e-Libraries for Bar Associations in All 30 Dists

Cuttack: In a historic move the Orissa High Court today dedicated e-Libraries for the Bar Associations of the 30 Districts and 2 outlying stations in Koraput and Rourkela in an event organized through virtual mode.

Dr. Justice S. Muralidhar, Chief Justice, High Court of Orissa and Judges of the High Court were present on the occasion.

The Chief Justice, delivering the keynote address, discussed on the challenges faced by the budding lawyers in keeping themselves abreast with the latest judicial pronouncements of the Supreme Court and High Courts. He said that the objective of dedicating e-Libraries to the Bar Associations was to facilitate the young aspirants in accomplishing their ambition of becoming good lawyers.

The Chief Justice said that he was confident that best use of e-Libraries would be made by the Bar Associations. This initiative of the High Court has been hailed by the legal fraternity of the State.

All India Reporter (AIR) online, Manupatra and CD ROM version of Orissa Law Times (OLT) have been made available in the e-Libraries provided to the Bar Associations. The infrastructure for the e-Library and the subscription for the journals have been provided by the High Court.

The District Judges, Judicial Officers and Office Bearers of the Bar Associations of all the 30 Districts attended the event.
