Bhubaneswar: Adding yet another feather to its cap, Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University (SOA) has been the number one ‘deemed to be university’ in Odisha, according to a latest survey.
SOA beat other leading educational institutes in Odisha to claim the top position in the recently released Outlook-ICARE India University Rankings 2019.
The Bhubaneswar-based institute has occupied 15th position in the ‘Top 50 Deemed To Be Universities’ in India in the Outlook-ICARE India University Rankings 2019.
The rankings evaluate institutions based on parameters such as Faculty Student Ratio (FSR), Faculty with PhD (FWP), Papers Per Faculty (PPF), Citations Per Paper (CPP) and Inclusiveness & Diversity (ID).
Institutions are awarded an overall rank depending on the number of points achieved through the evaluation, and their key strengths in specific parameters are displayed. This has been designed with valuable feedback from the industry.
With a score of 76.80, SOA emerged number deemed university in Odisha and 15th in India.
Previously, SOA was placed 24th in the country in the university category in the ranking conducted by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), HRD Ministry.
