Bhubaneswar: There are 1,57,432 Bangladeshi refugees residing in Odisha, said Minister of State (Home) Tusharkanti Behera in the Legislative Assembly on Monday.
Replying to a question, the Minister said that Malkangiri district has highest 1,04,233 Bangladeshi refugees, followed by 46848 in Nabarangpur and 4653 in Khordha.
As many as 3740 Bangladeshi refugees are living illegally in Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur, he added.
