Moscow: More than one million people in Russia have now been vaccinated with Sputnik V.
Sputnik V, which is said to be the world’s first registered COVID-19 vaccine, has been developed by Russia’s Gamaleya National Research Center of Epidemiology and Microbiology and the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
The Sputnik V vaccine is administered in two doses, which use different components, 21 days apart.
Russia has so far produced more than 2 million doses in total, according to reports.
