Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal President Naveen Patnaik will campaign for BJD candidate Barsha Singh Bariha in the ensuing Padampur by-poll in Bargarh district.
As per reports, the BJD supremo will visit the constituency on December 2 to garner support for his party in the election.
Naveen is likely to address three public meetings in three blocks – Padampur, Jharbandh and Paikamal – in Padampur Assembly constituency.
A total of 10 candidates are in fray for the by-election, which will be held on December 5. The declaration of results will be done on December 8.
The by-election was necessitated following the death of sitting BJD MLA Bijaya Ranjan Singh Bariha on October 3.
