Bhubaneswar: A new chapter of development has started in Padampur Assembly Constituency in Bargarh district as Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday inaugurated development projects worth Rs 488 crore for the constituency.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that Padampur will be a model of development with the cooperation of all.
Stating that Padmapur is the rice bowl of Odisha for producing highest quantity of paddy, the Chief Minister dedicated 20 lift irrigation projects worth Rs 10 crore for the development farmers.
Naveen also launched a major infrastructure project of Rs 18.48 crore for development of rural marketing facilities for the agriculture products.
For the development of communication in the area, the Chief Minister laid foundation stone for construction of 38 bridges at the cost of Rs 260 crore, 25 roads at the cost of Rs 136 crore, rural infrastructure with Rs 9 crore, 4 rural markets with Rs 60 lakh and 16 projects for urban areas with Rs 4.22 crore.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government will allocate Rs 26 crore for the peripheral development of Nrushinganath and Veda Baraha shrines in the district.
He also inaugurated projects worth Rs 30 crore in 3 blocks and urban areas. The projects include 20 Kalyan Mandaps, Panchayat Bhavan, village market and common facility centre.
The Chief Minister said all these projects will play an important role in accelerating the pace of development of Padampur.
