Bargarh: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Sunday said that Padmapur will be a new district of Odisha in a year.
The Chief Minister made this big announcement while addressing a public meeting during his visit to Padmapur Constituency in Bargarh district.
This is his first visit to Padmapur after the Biju Janata Dal won the by-polls with a record margin.
Naveen had promised the people of the constituency to visit Padmapur during his election campaigning and giving district status to Padmapur.
