Bhubaneswar: Pathapranta Utsav (Roadside Festival) was organized here today to celebrate “Odisha Skill Conclave”.
Early in the morning, the exhibition ground witnessed the presence of the students of the Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and Polytechnics from different regions of the State who participated in the programme, with flavor of festivities and colourful environment.
Pritiranjan Gharai, Minister, Skill Development and Technical Education, Subroto Bagchi, Chairman, Odisha Skill Development Authority, Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary, SDTE Department and Reghu G., Director of the Department wee present to encourage the participating students and general public.
A number of dance, music and cultural items were presented by the students while food stalls, fashion show, cosmetic art work and ramp show etc. added colour to the programme. Around 50 stalls were opened on behalf of ITIs, Polytechnics, Mission Shakti and other organisations. The atmosphere was reverberated with bewitching performances.
Senior citizens and locals while enjoying the event, appreciated the skilled young people and other artists, who were assembled in the programme, organized by the Department of Skill Development and Technical Education.
