Phulbani: The Kandhamal Police has arrested 19 persons in connection with mob violation, vandalism and burning of the Phiringia Police Station. The incident had happened day before yesterday. The police has also filed cases against 50 other persons for involvement in the incident. The situation in Phiringia is returning back to normalcy and about three platoons of police are still engaged in the town. Efforts are on to nab the people involved in the incident. Yesterday, the IIC of Phiringia Police Station was transferred to Phulbani and two other home guards who were accused of involvement in Ganja smuggling, were disengaged from service.
