New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today praised the Odisha Government’s efforts in fighting the cyclone Amphan.
Taking cognizance of the massive destruction caused by the cyclonic storm Amphan in the State, Modi said that authorities are working on the ground to ensure all possible assistance to those affected. ”
PM also prayed that the situation normalizes at the earliest.

In Odisha, while 89 blocks have been affected by the cyclone, two lakh people have been evacuated to safer places. Electricity will be restored in eighty percent of the villages by today evening.
According to preliminary reports, about 44 lakh 88 thousand people have been affected by the cyclone and standing crops in one lakh hectares have been damaged.
