Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu will arrive at Bhubaneswar today on a two-day visit to Odisha. Today, the President is scheduled to attend the Foundation Day Celebrations of Jnanaprabha Mission at Bhubaneswar to be held at the Utkal Mandap. She will also grace the 2nd Convocation of Rama Devi Women’s University, Bhubaneswar in the evening today.
Tomorrow, the President will have the darshan of Lord Lingaraj and later inaugurate the 2nd Indian Rice Congress at ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack. This will be her second visit to Odisha since becoming the President of India.
President Murmu is scheduled to arrive at the Bhubaneswar International Airport on the special flight at about 11. 55 AM. She will be received by Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and other senior leaders and officials.
Elaborate and foolproof security arrangements have been made for the visit of the President. Forty platoons of police forces will be engaged. Fourteen Additional DCPs, 35 ACPs, 47 Inspectors, 188 Sub-inspectors, and sixty home guards will be placed at various places of the twin cities for the purpose of security.
