Puri: President Ram Nath Kovind, who is on a three day visit to Odisha, today visited the Jagannath Temple and had darshan of the Trinity along with his wife Sabita Kovind. Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal and Union Petrolium Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also accompanied the President.
Amidst tight security, the president reached Puri in a special helicopter in the morning and headed towards the Temple. Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deba welcomed the President and others at the Singha Dwara. The visiting dignitaries offered special pujas to the deities and stayed for about forty minutes inside the temple.
In the second leg of the visit, the President will visit the Konark Temple and the Indian Oil Interpretation Center.
