Process Begins For Installing Silver Doors of Srimandira Singhadwara

Puri: The process for installing silver doors of the Srimandira Singhadwara has begun. As per the previous plan for initiating the work after the deities are taken out for the nine day sojourn, the work has started to install the silver doors. First, a temporary Singhadwara is being made with wooden boards and then the brass doors will be opened. Then the newly made silver doors will then be attached. A devotee from Mumbai had donated the silver for this. Earlier, the Satapahacha, Jayvijay Dwara, Kalahata Dwara, Beharana Dwara, Bhogamandapa Dwara, were installed with silver doors having beautiful traditional Odishan carvings.

The Garbha Gruha of the Srimandira will also be inspected during the nine day sojourn of the trinity. A technical core committee team of the ASI along with Sri Jagannath Temple technical committee members will inspect the Garbha Gruha.
